The 19th Annual Twin Cities Book Festival is this Saturday, October 12. Held at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds, this annual event is the largest single-day book event in the area.

There are hundreds of exhibitors including authors, illustrators, and publishers. Some of the bigger names this year:

  • Faith Sullivan (Cape Ann, Ruby & Roland)
  • Leif Enger (Peace Like a River, Virgil Wander)
  • William Kent Krueger (This Tender Land, Iron Lake)

There are many more including poets, teen and children’s book authors and a host of others as found here.

This event is hosted and promoted by Rain Taxi, “a literary organization that champions literary culture through programs and publications that foster engagement with innovative writing.”

If you click here, you can see images and descriptions of previous years’ festivals.

My plan is to buy some books, meet some new authors, connect with other book people, get a bite to eat from one of the food trucks and take some pictures that I can post later this month.
