Is there such a thing as too many journals? I currently have six that I write in on a fairly regular basis. How about you?
- Daily Journal – What we’re doing these days
- Book Journal – Tracking all the books I read and thoughts/recaps of some of them
- Covid-19 Journal – Started in April 2020, I began documenting how the pandemic made changes to our lives
- Thoughts, Plans, & Dreams Journal – Inner thoughts journaling
- Junk Journal – collection of photos, jokes, cute ads, mail, ephemera I come across
- Poetry Journal – Poem titles I think I’ll write, new poems I find that I’d like to include for easy finding, classics
How wonderful to have so many journals that you regularly use! Writing things down has a certain magic to it, a way of helping us to learn, organise our thoughts, let go of feelings and work through problems. So I think, the more journals, the better! I have a love of stationery since I was a child and have collected rather a lot of notebooks and journals myself. Often once they are full, I have trouble letting go of them. Is it the same for you?
