Postcrossing Stamps

I’m on a mission to add some Postcrossing stamps to my small but charming stamp collection. I belong to Postcrossing, the best way to send and receive postcards from around the world. I joined Postcrossing in 2005 and since then have received and sent almost 450 postcards.

I learned about Postcrossing postage stamps on their blog from earlier this year. At the same time I read an article about suggesting new stamps to the USPS, so I plan to share their info here and send my own letter making the case for a US Postcrossing stamp (fingers crossed that one is already in the works!).

Some of the themed stamps I collect include literature (authors and books), desks and writing, zeppelins/airships, Peanuts Gang, Christmas (more Santa and colorful images rather than Virgin Mary and child), mail/letters/stamps/post boxes/etc. I like my stamps used with a nice postmark if I can get it.

Here’s where to send ideas/requests for US postage stamps. They do have a list of criteria that you can read here.
