When I travel I always carry stationery supplies with me- pens, paper, note cards, address labels, stamps. Last year I purchased a new tote made by International Arrivals. (In all honesty, I don’t recall if I bought it at Target, an office supply store or a stationery store.) I was able to try it out when I traveled to Austin last week for the Niche Magazine Conference. It worked perfectly.

I wrote letters at the airport, on the airplane and in the hotel room. All of this traveling time really allowed me to catch up on my letter writing. My long term pals know that I will go 2-5 weeks without responding. I do write letters every week, but it might only be 1 or 2 at a time. Plus, I usually participate in Postcrossing as well. So I am a bit of a slow poke when it comes to returning correspondence.

The photo above shows all of the letters I brought with me that are awaiting a response, as well as the stationery and other supplies, all neatly packed in my 2-zippered lime green stationery tote. I love it! And, of course, hotel stationery is perfect for the traveling letter writer.

My favorite pen right now (pictured above) is the Tul from Office Max (needle point). It has a fine line and a generous flow of ink, which are the two qualities I like most in a pen.
