I love all contests you guys post! And this store page is going to be super handy!
I love to go to Kate’s Paperie at 140 West 57th Street every time I am in NYC!!
I love Anthology for stationery supplies in Madison, Wisconsin, but my favorite stationery store in the world, bar none, is La Paperie on DeGraves Street in Melbourne, Australia!
Very helpful! Thanks!
I live in a very small town and so I miss out on nice stores…I seek out stationery stores whenever I go out of town but can’t remember any specific names….
Some of my favorite stationery stores:
Mr. Moon’s in Healdsburg, CA
Paper Source in Bellevue, WA

I would like to recommend Swee Swee Paperie and Studio which I will always visit whenever I travel to West Seattle to visit my Granny. This beautifully arranged store is a delight and I feel more calm and relaxed in this store. Hope you guys will have the opportunity to check out the lovely selection of greeting cards, wrapping papers, ribbons, wedding invitations and other pretty paper tidbits from the likes of Whimsy Press, Paper + Cup Design, Orange Beautiful, Midori and others at this hottest new paper boutique in West Seattle. Swee Swee Paperie rocks!
Dang, that’s depressing..I had to go 100 miles out to find a stationery store!
I do believe, with the dwindling number of people using actual paper (versus email or texting) we aren’t going to see many new stationery stores, which is a shame.
You could add the Papyrus stores for Burlington Mall, MA and in Boston as well. They are not my favorite, by any means, but they do have ‘some’ different papers and such.
Thanks, I really appreciate this site and all the great info and articles!

I would like to visit Kate’s Paperie based on recommendations of some of my close friends. My friends have told me that Kate’s Paperie helps in keeping the art of letter writing alive in this digital era. I love writing the most — journal writing, sending letters to my relatives and friends and so on. One can find greeting cards, photo albums, books, etc in this fantastic store. Hence, I am sure this store will be a haven for stationery lovers like me with a range of stationery on sale and I hope to be able to visit this store soon.
I visit Fahrney’s Pens store regularly.
I am extremely touched by its unique dedication to customers while delivering the highest quality products and service available, making me feel comfortable when purchasing items from this marvelous store. I will always buy its exclusive Cherry Blossom Pens to add into my collection of pens. These Blossom Fountain Pens are designed and produced exclusively for Fahrney’s Pens by Retro 51 and I simply can’t help it but love these pens. Its 2007 Exclusive Cherry Blossom Fountain Pen is my favourite especially its sky blue colour. Gorgeous! With its wide variety of writing instruments on sale, I can find everything I need for great writing. Thus, it is certainly worth to visit Fahrney’s Pens which is located at 1317 F Street, NW, Washington, DC 20004.
Hope you guys will enjoy your visit to Fahrney’s Pens.
I have several favorite stationery shops! My all time favorite is Melodies Graphics on the Rue du Pont Louis Philippe in Paris. Here are some pics from my recent trip there: http://www.savesnailmail.com/french-stationery-4/
I also love Nest in Oxford Mississippi, Salutations in Chapel Hill, NC, and Scriptura in New Orleans, LA.
I have to say my favorite is still the first real paper store I ever went to and that is Kate’s Paperie (http://www.katespaperie.com/) on spring Street in SoHo in NYC. Sure I had been to a lot of stores that sell paper, but this is a real stationery store. Totally makes me swoon to see the wall of art papers and I visit every time we go to NYC.
I have since found good resources at home in Houston. Papyrus in Rice Village is a nice chi-chi store but not the best selection. Recently, I drove through Highland village and saw the installation of a sign for a new store called Paper Source. I went back once it opened, and yes, that will do quite nicely. Love the store.
Another option in Houston is Texas Art Supply. They not only have a comprehensive assortment of art supplies, they have an impressive paper selection, too.
My favorite is Hollo’s Papercraft in Brunswick, OH. They carry a lot of stationary sold by the sheet and by the envelope and also many other paper supplies for scrapbooks and other crafts.
Unfortunately their website at http://hollospapercraft.net/ isn’t coming up for me today, but their address & phone are:
1878 Pearl Road
Brunswick, OH 44212-3252
(330) 225-0911
I love Falling Water in Ann Arbor, Michigan. (http://www.fallingwatermi.com). They sell books and gifts, but I’m in love with their selection of cards, journals, and stationery. We usually come home with over 20 cards because they are so beautiful.
I recently discovered the Quill and Press in Acton, MA. It is a great stationery store, and they also do custom printing. There’s even a fine art supply shop in the basement! Love that place!
How lucky am I that I live only about a mile from As You Wish in Fond du Lac, WI (http://www.asyouwishwi.com)? It’s one of the most comprehensive stationery stores I’ve ever visited – I even had my wedding invites printed there! Kathy Gieschen, the owner, is the BEST!
Congratulations, Melk! You won the Stationery Store contest as mentioned in the July e-newsletter. Please email me your mailing address and I will get the packet of goodies off to you.

I love the shop “Paper White” in Petaluma, CA. I want almost everything in it when I walk in. Every year they do a letterpress for the Butter & Egg Days which is what Petaluma is known for. The posters are amazing and beautifully done.
When I’m in La Crosse, WI, I always make a point to stop at Pearl Street Books. They have a nice selection of greeting cards & postcards. They sell Nouvelles Images postcards, which I have a hard time finding anywhere else.

In South Pasadena, there is a great store called Marz. They have a great selection of unique greeting cards, stationery & postcards.

I live in a rural area and there’s not much stationery here. I can go to Blacksburg to MishMish, the art store, and they have some paper by the piece and Rhodia. But for fun stationery and card sets, I go to TJ Maxx. There’s always something enticing there.
Sadly, where I am at, stationery stores are somewhat lacking. However, when I manage to get out of town, I’ve found once in a while Half Price Books (of all places) tends to have a pretty good selection of journals (the main thing I look for, besides books). Got some nice ones with old noir book cover on the journal covers. Now, I am looking at some of the idea the other folks are leaving here, and I am making notes. The Paper Source in Dallas sounds like a possibility, and not too far from where I am at.
Best, and keep on blogging.
Anthology in Madison, Wisconsin, is my favorite store for stationery and other lovely, crafty things. But I just visited Katie’s Paperie in Soho, NYC, the other day. It is quite nice!
